HOW TO GET HERE

BY CAR

Callander is about a one hour drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

From Glasgow, you can choose to head north on the A81 for Aberfoyle or you can take the M80 motorway to Stirling.

From Edinburgh, it is the M9 motorway to Stirling. Exit the motorway at Junction 10 and take the A84 straight to Callander.

It is about 25 minutes from Stirling.

BY BUS

Callander is about 45 minutes by bus from Stirling. There is a bus usually every hour, but please visit Traveline Scotland for the most up-to-date timetable.

When in Callander, there is a daily bus over to Aberfoyle and back and for further afield, there is the new Demand Responsive Transport system.

There is no direct bus from Glasgow, but in the summer months Scottish Citylink have a coach going north from Edinburgh which passes through town.

BY TRAIN

You are too late!

The trains were cancelled in 1965 and the railway line is now a fantastic cycle path.

This is also a great walk recently featured on the BBC programme with Julia Bradbury, Railway Walks.
