The Whisky Library

The Whisky Library, was launched 2009. The cosy bar area within Gray's Restaurant has been redesigned and renamed "The Whisky Library". Uisge Beatha, the Water of Life, is Scotland's national drink and it is synonymous with Scotland in our visitors' minds. It also perfectly compliments our menu which is unashamedly based on all that is best with Scotland's produce. We have one of the largest collections in the area, featuring many rare and unusual malts as well as the more popular drams.

As part of our involvement in VisitScotland's Year of Food and Drink we pushed on with our development of the Whisky Library. We went from 40 malts to over 120, added more books, and began our Annual Whisky Festival, in November of 2010, introduced some classic and hard-to-find bottled Scottish beers and encouraged our guests to try the fabulous wines from Perthshire's Cairn o'Mhor winery. All this to the backdrop of regular Scottish folk music live in the Library just for you.

Our next Whisky Festival will be Fri 14th / Sat 15th / Sun 16th September 2012. A weekend of food, music and Whisky - Whisky tasting with the experts, Whisky tasting dinner, Live music all weekend: Pure Malt, Box o Bananas, Brac'linn plus Much More .... for more information follow us on Facebook for all the latest updates.
